Anita Briem hails from Iceland. Anita Briesm, an Icelandic performer, is best known for her portrayal of Jane Seymour (the young woman who will later be the spouse to Henry VIII) in the television series The Tudors. Also for the character of Hannah in the film Journey to the Center of the Earth. Briem was 9 when she started acting in the Icelandic National Theater. Her early involvement was in a variety of TV and radio shows, plays and productions throughout Iceland. Briem relocated to London at the age of sixteen and was a part of the production of a play that was staged that was staged at The New End Theater called Lenin in Love.
